Team North and West Africa of Delphy is looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable intern ! (MSc only)

Delphy is the largest global commercial service provider in the field of cultivation and production related knowledge regarding food & flowers. Based in Wageningen, Delphy develops and implements knowledge worldwide. More than 230 employees, of which 65 foreign employees, are 24/7 involved in cultivation and production of food and flowers. Our professionals are a strong team of entrepreneurial, independent advisors with leading global practical knowledge and expertise. 

Our services include crop advice, applied research (on-site or at our own research units), trainings and (turnkey) projects to farmers, agricultural companies and investors worldwide. Delphy transfer their expertise and knowledge in projects worldwide, with the execution of training programmes, capacity building, value chain development and agricultural information systems.

Main activities during the internship will to support team North and West Africa in projects focused on increasing the sustainability of farming practices (both horticulture and open field) in the context of Climate Smart Agriculture. This involves writing project proposals (i.e. on local capacity building or feasibility studies), developing training materials and implementing many other project activities. Focus area is North and West Africa (key countries Senegal, Tunisia, Egypt) and the Middle-East (Arab Peninsula, Iraq and Jordan). Occasional trips to the project areas might be part of the internship period.

We are looking for a MSc student in Plant Sciences. Practical experience with growing crops is a plus.
