Delphy Improvement Centre is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable intern for LED cucumber research!

Delphy Improvement Centre, located in Bleiswijk, is a research institute for greenhouse horticulture. We are developing and implementing knowledge for the growers of greenhouse fruits, vegetables, and flowers focusing on variety research, LED, energy savings, plant health, and digitalization.

This November, a trial with LED cucumber will start at one of the compartments of the Improvement Centre. The trial will run for 16 weeks and will focus on far-red application and infrared heating of the fruits to improve the efficiency of LED cultivation.

The main activities of this internship will focus on finding the optimal spectrum and implementing far-red with cucumber under LED and supporting the project. You will also have the opportunity to connect with other projects, researchers and companies at the Improvement Centre.

We are looking for a student in Plant Sciences or related study who can start already at the beginning of November 2024 for at least 4 months.
