One committee is chosen every month to be ‘the committee of the month’. In this column we tell about the activities and/or goals of one of the many committees of Semper Florens. This month, the ProdukCie.
The merchandise committee of Semper Florens is called the ProdukCie. They design the famous and yearly SF sweater, to help us through the cold winter days. After a night in the Woeste Hoeve you always see a lot of plantlets wearing the sweater, because it is their favorite ‘hung-over’ sweater. All gadgets made by the ProdukCie are essential for us as Plant Science students. Last year they made beer-openers, which were directly put into use at the SF barbecue! They also made a very cute mug with the slogan “What do plants do when other plants feel sad? Photosympathize” so we can sustainably maintain of caffeine levels. A T-shirt with the slogan “Any plan(t)s tonight?” was also produced, which may or may not get some plantlets together?
The ProdukCie is the committee of the month March, because they designed beautiful socks. Lots of plantlets have ordered them, and now we all have to wait in excitement for the moment they arrive, so keep an eye on your mail!
