One committee is chosen every month to be ‘the committee of the month’. In this column we tell about the activities and/ or goals of one of the many committees of Semper Florens. This month, the InternationalCie.
The InternationalCie is the committee that organizes activities to promote the integration between our Dutch and international members. The InternationalCie is the committee of the month of April, because they recently organized the Integration Dinner and the Thesis Spotlight. The Integration Diner was a huge success! The food was delicious and the ConsumpCie made lots of yummy apple pie as dessert. There were fun games with crazy assignments and questions, which led to conversations about a lot of weird subjects, like sweating olive oil and avoiding the cracks in the pavement. Besides the dinner, the InternationalCie organised the Thesis Spotlight, where students talked about their experiences of writing a thesis. A PhD-student was also present, to talk about his point of view about working with students who wrote a bachelor and master thesis under his guidance. It was a very positive talk about writing a thesis, which was great to hear!
