Committee of the month - February

One committee is chosen every month to be ‘the committee of the month’. In this column we tell about the activities and/or goals of one of the many committees of Semper Florens. This month, the StudCie.

The StudCie is the study committee of Semper Florens and since we are a study association this committee is indispensable. The members of this committee put lots of effort in improving our study (or keeping it at its best) to assure us of the best education possible. The StudCie evaluates the courses at the end of each period. They need your feedback to do this so don’t forget to fill in the PACE after following a course. Also, if you ever have any problems, renovations, or other remarks about a course let them know! The course evaluations of the StudCie are given to the study program committee (OpCie), and they will decide whether real action has to be taken in response to your comments on the subjects. In both committees, the commissioner education, Timon van Leeuwen, is actively involved. Since our education is important to all of us it is also important to keep all Plant Sciences students updated on the changes within the study. Therefore, a new column, named Breeding Education, is created on the website. In this column, the commissioner education will inform you about all the relevant topics discussed in the StudCie and the OpCie. So, if you are curious or interested in the up-to-date improvements of our education keep track of the column.
