Hi there! You may have heard about, or from, us in recent Semper Florens activities. We are DGSF, a group of studying and graduated Plant sciences students who like to get together once in a while.

We used to dine together every month, but recently we have switched to fun online gatherings where we talk about all types of stuff. Furthermore, we have already organised several activities for the whole study association! We have had a very nice cocktail ladies night last year, where we created the most delicious cocktails and mocktails, played stupid games and got to know many more female plant scientists. A recent activity was the fantastic online escape room that you might have joined too! It was a really nice way to get rid of locked up feelings during the lockdown.

Although we really like organising stuff for the whole association, most of our activities are just for the eleven girls of us. From water skiing to canoeing in summers, to celebrating Sinterklaas with ‘surprises’ or with presents sent in all of our houses throughout the whole of the Netherlands. Of course, in better times, this also includes many gezellige drinks and dinners together, although now we try to keep up with each other lives through Zoom meetings. Furthermore, we all have a passion for the TV program Boer zoekt vrouw and we love paardenkut, a mix drink with Apfelkorn.

We are now in our ‘trial period’ before becoming an official part of Semper Florens, so you can expect more activities and fun from our side! Does this sound like something you like too?
